Hi! My name is La Rae Mills and I live in Cottage Grove, MN. I have a wonderful husband, Jeff, to whom I have been married to since August 1996, and a spunky daughter, Izabella who was born in April 2002. Sometimes life can really get crazy and out of control. I know. Balancing a family schedule, working a 9-5 job, paying the bills, being a good parent, spending time with your family, volunteering at your church or school and on and on it goes. You want what is best for your family, but the harder you work to pay the bills, the less time you have with your family. |

I spent the last 7 wonderful years serving the hurch in a paid ministry position while living my life's passion to impact children's lives positively. These years were filled with challenges, long hours, tough learning situations, yet topped with many blessings. Would I take back those years? Not in a heartbeat. But something was not right. The little time I had with my family was filled with stress, if and only if I was able to keep my eyes open. Something had to change. | |

The day came when I finally said, 'ENOUGH!!!' I had stressed myself to the max while winning the award as 'queen crab'. I wanted to be a mom, a really great mom. I wanted to be a wife, a really great wife. That meant I needed to leave my ministry position and focus on what was more important, my family. |

I believe that God has given me a passion for children. His calling in my life has changed into many different forms. Since I was in High School I have volunteered with many different children groups and taught music and religious classes. I have a Music Education Degree from the University of Sioux Falls, SD and taught voice and piano private lessons and a variety of music classes including Kindermusik International. After College I studied at North American Baptist Seminary and received a Masters of Divinity with elective courses focusing on Children's Christian Education. |

I have a desire to see people succeed and have worked with and oversaw a volunteer base of close to 300 wonderful individuals. I am looking for people who have a great desire to learn, have a passion for children, and can give a great effort towards trying something new and maybe even a little uncomfortable, but the rewards are extremely outstanding! |
